Trusted Advisor and Information Pump:
CEO Dashboards via Continuous Monitoring

Who better to provide the crucial information needed by management than the Internal Auditor? Why pay some high-priced consulting firm to "turn data into information" when, in fact, it is the internal Auditors (IT and non-IT) who really know what data is crucial.

Using the CobiT and COSO as our information frameworks, this talk explores the "how to's" of constructing real-time monitors to provide necessary telemetry to corporate executives (including the Director in Internal Audit!). General Electric, usually a step ahead, calls this real-time information feed a "management cockpit." The idea here is to recognize the other great role of the IA, that of management consultant or "Trusted Business Advisor."
