STAFF IT AUDITOR

What we are looking for:

Willingness to learn. A self-motivated individual who is eager to learn and evaluate Stryker’s IT and business operations. This will prepare the individual for growth opportunities inside the department and at Stryker as a whole.

Detail oriented. Someone who is execution-focused and pays strong attention to detail when evaluating process and control effectiveness.

Basic foundational audit knowledge. An individual with basic knowledge and audit experience of IT General Controls, ERP systems and application controls.

Team player. Someone who collaborates effectively across the global audit team and is willing to support internal initiatives in addition to executing the audit plan.

Relationship builder. Someone adept at building and maintaining trusting relationships with team members and key stakeholders to help foster openness, communication and accountability.

Effective communicator. An auditor who can concisely communicate results and customer focused solutions to stakeholders, senior management, and their teams in a manner that builds relationships and demonstrates professionalism.

What you will do:

As an IT Staff Auditor, you will join our US-based IT Audit team to support our global IT audit plan of SOX, Operational, and Consulting projects. You will report to the IT Audit Manager and be responsible for supporting audit planning activities, organizing and testing processes and controls in accordance with IA’s methodology, communicating audit results internally and externally, and monitoring management’s action plans for remediation throughout the year.

Our Audit department is continually striving for excellence, and you will also play a role in designing and implementing departmental initiatives to continue to advance our department as a world-class Internal Audit function and business partner to Stryker. Our Flower Mound, TX location is home to the Endoscopy Division’s Communication Business, Finance Center of Excellence and Customer Support for various Stryker business units. Therefore, your networking and relationship building skills will be leveraged regularly as you interact with other departments across the company.

What you need:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in information technology, computer science, or accounting/business related field
  • 1+ years in internal audit, IT Risk/Compliance or IT Security
  • CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP or other relevant IT Security/Risk certification preferred
  • Big Four experience preferred
  • Ability to audit less complex IT controls based on defined procedures across a limited number of areas/technologies (e.g., IT General Controls, application controls, system implementations, cybersecurity, privacy, mulitple database management systems, operating systems, ERPs
  • Unquestionable integrity and professionalism
