Session Description: What makes an effective internal auditor and leader?

“Emotional intelligence, more than any other factor, more than IQ, or expertise, accounts for 85% – 90% success at work…IQ is a threshold competence. You need it, but it doesn’t make you a star. Emotional intelligence can.”       ~Dr. Warren Bennis

Emotional intelligence accounts for greater than 80% of one’s workplace success per multiple research papers. However, the majority of internal Auditors are taught only technical skills through both school and training. Why is it that the majority of our education is focused on skills that attribute to only 20% of our success? This course aims to bridge that gap. The good news is, emotional intelligence is a set of skills that can be developed. This course will help improve your understanding of emotional and social intelligence, focusing on the four core competencies. As a result, you will be able to integrate these new EQ skills and bring positive changes into your professional and personal life.
